Lost Weapon
Hi
In front of a merchant, I must have accidently clicked on my Sword; I cannot find it anymore and I am without a weapon. How can I repair that. Thanks |

(Moved from Technician's Corner - not a technical fault )
Hi there. It's just a case of buying a new one or picking one up that has randomly dropped from a monster you've killed. Accidentally selling weapons to the merchant - we've all done that! When dealing with the merchant, make sure that the box for equipped items is unchecked, that way it shouldn't happen again.

Couple things you can do in the future.
Read before you click, and don't click so fast! Uncheck equipped weapons. Put all your weapons in one bag or belt pouch, and uncheck that at the merchant as well. Put an item that cannot be sold to the left of items you want to keep. Or, put one as the last item preceding a bag/belt pouch that you wish to exclude from the merchant. |

People keep telling you to "uncheck" your bags but they don't explain it.
When you go to a merchant and click on the "sell" tab, there is a line of Icons across the top that represent your "equipped items", and your backpack/pouch/bags. By default, they all have green check marks on them. Click on them to "uncheck" them and then the merchant won't "look" in those places and you won't accidently sell things. You should uncheck the "equipped items" and at least 1 of the bags. Put all the stuff you want to keep (extra weapons, etc.) in the unchecked bag(s). |

I've done that before, I sold a Zodiac Bow and many a green weapon to the merchants because I clicked too fast
Do a shout in towns, as long as it's not "gimme money pl0x" chances are someone will help you out. |

Depending on what your proffession is, it can be easy to farm without a weapon. You said you sold a sword, so I'll assume you're a W/ , in which case it wouldn't be so easy. But you can farm without a weapon as long as you have any skill which doesn't require a weapon in order to damage the enemy.
For a warrior, you could go to a place where the enemies are fairly low level and [[headbutt] things until you get a sword to drop. (Casters have it easier here due to damage inflicting spells.) It's not the fastest or most desirable way to solve the problem, but it'll work. Or, if you've got money and crafting materials to spare you can visit a weapons NPC and just craft a new sword. |
